Spend a day with Dan Cederholm as he helps you embrace web standards and learn how lean markup and adaptable style can bring your applications and content-based sites to life. Throughout the day, Dan will help you prepare for worst-case scenarios and show you how to create compelling interfaces for the web.
You'll be shown all the tools, tricks and tips that experts use to best utilize the flexibility of web standards in their everyday work.
By walking you through the design of his wine community site, Cork'd, you'll gain insight into how to prepare interfaces for increased user control, cope with varying content amounts, and simplify your editing process. Dan will help you let go of "pixel precision", while creating beautiful designs that plan for the unknown. Along the way there will be ample time for questions, with the full-day format providing the opportunity to dig deeper into the craft of forward-thinking designs that use XHTML and CSS.
